He was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on November 25, 1933, the son of the late Roscoe and Dexter Doreen Blankenship Plunk. Paul David or P.D. as he was known by those close to him, was a quality control supervisor with Halliburton Brownroot. He loved to fish and to travel. He was a veteran of the US Army.
P.D. is survived by his children, Paula Dunn of Florida, D'Lesa Plunk and T'Resa Plunk Porto both of Houston, Texas, Paul David Plunk II and wife Renay of Crump, Tennessee; 3 grandchildren; sisters, Mary Smith of Horn Lake, Mississippi, Thelda Church and Ella Bailey both of Southaven, Mississippi; brothers, Samuel Plunk of Savannah, Tennessee, Harold Plunk of Parsons, Tennessee, Raymond Plunk of Southaven, Mississippi and Eddie Plunk of Horn Lake, Mississippi.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Omega Ruth Plunk and brother, James T. Plunk.
