Paul Crowley, 89, of Silerton, died Monday, March 19, 2007 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
The husband of Freeda Rister Crowley, who survives, he was a farmer and school bus driver for Hardeman County schools for 29 years. Mr. Crowley was born February 25, 1918 in Silerton, son of the late D. A. Crowley and Allie S. Ross Crowley and lived here all of his life. He served in the U. S. Navy during WWII in the European Campaign and was a member of Silerton United Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife, whom he married February 25, 1940, survivors include one daughter, Carolyn Crowley Stack of Silerton; one son, Richard Crowley of Houston, Tex.; three sisters, Kathleen Vincent of Bolivar, Betty Jo Wootten of Jackson and Jeanette Bridges of Bolivar; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Beryl Crowley and one sister, Colene Tims.
