Paul Charles Butler was born November 18, 1940 in Marysville, California the son of the late Arvil and Nellie Mae Horner Butler. He attended school in San Jose California and was employed by Woolworth as a young man, he later worked for CalCAN as a seam mechanic and at Falstaff Brewery. He enjoyed mechanic work on automobiles and doing carpenter work. He was married to Faith Doris Matulich on December 7, 1964 He moved to Jacks Creek 19 years ago to be near his daughters, he enjoyed traveling when he could. He was Apostolic in faith.
Mr. Butler departed this life on March 8, 2015 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 74 Years, 3 Months, 18 Days.
He is survived by two daughters, Mickilynn J (Butler) Legg and husband Roger of Jacks Creek, TN, Kimberly K (Butler) Gooch and husband Ricky of Jacks Creek , Tn; three sisters, Naomi Varnum and husband James of Belleview , FL, Jackie Sue Presley of Benica, CA, Ruth Pendersgrass of Denver, CO; two brothers, Daniel Butler of Marysville, CA, Earl Butler of Belleview, FL; Grandchildren, Staci Sampson, Charles Clinton Anthony Wade, Preston Wade, David C Legg, Phillip A. Legg, Rodney T. Legg, Timothy P. Legg, and James M. Legg. Great grandchildren Kason, Kolby, Isabelle and Solomon.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Butler was preceded in death by his wife, Faith Doris Matulich,four sisters, Pauline Holden, Bernice Ross, Virginia Flarety, Mary LaRosa; four brothers, Arnold Butler, William Butler, Thomas Butler, Arlin Butler; and granddaughter, Faith DiAnn Legg.
Services will be held on March 14, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Christ Community Church in Henderson, TN with Bro. James Varnum, Bro. Brent Daniel, Bro. Larry Rhodes and Bro. Michael Rickenbaker officiating. Burial will follow in the Jacks Creek Apostolic Church Cemetery at Jacks Creek.
