Patty Jo Settles Reaves

Patty Jo Settles Reaves was born on April 13, 1944 in DeKalb, Illinois, the daughter of the late Joel Jackson and Mary Mae Magner Settles.

Patty was a former resident of California, Illinois, and Missouri. She was a homemaker, but had worked at Praxis of Savannah, Tennessee and Schefenacker of Selmer, Tennessee.

Patty Jo Settles Reaves departed this life on September 7, 2016 at the age of 72 years, 4 months, 25 days.

She was loving, caring, and lived her life making sure everyone else was taken care of, especially her babies, Cheyenne and Shadow. Her dream of having a 20 acre farm with all of the abused, stray animals she rescued roaming peacefully was never met. And in the end, I could see it in her eyes, the pain of ending this life and leaving behind the ones that loved her the most.

She loved get-togethers and cooking Sunday Dinner. Dale Earnhart Jr. was her man, when it came time for the Nascar Race. You better bet, mom was glued to the T.V. until the end. The Jitterbug was her dance that she loved so well. And for those that knew her well, don't think for a minute that AC/DC and a coffee table wouldn't do in a pinch.

We all wonder sometimes what really goes on after our death, and there is one thing that is for certain; if there's a place to dance, she will dance forever.
But there is no doubt she will forever be dancing in our hearts.

She is survived by her children, Roger Bennett of Savannah, Tennessee, Ronnie Bennett, Sr. of Savannah, Tennessee, Gentry Martin of Savannah, Tennessee, Bill Phipps of Sullivan, Missouri, Dwayne Reaves of Fulton, Missouri, Toby Tobias Coffman of Fulton, Missouri, and Rosanna Casner of Lonedale, Missouri; ex-husband, Arlie Reaves of Fulton, Missouri; grandchildren, Bradlee Jo Bennett of Bunker, Missouri, Ronnie Bennett, Jr., Ashley Bennett, Megan Bullard, Kaleb Bullard, Emily Bullard, Addison Reaves, Dakota Reaves, Jessica Sanson, Tyler Sanson, Meagan Sanson, Michelle Coffman, Carl Coffman, Whitney Gaskins, and Brooke Lovelace; and great-grandchildren, Raelee Jo Bennett, Haylee Jo Bennett, Heidi Bennett, Raelyn Lovelace, and Brooklyn Lovelace.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Settles and her grandchild, Montana Rain Martin.
