Patty Ruth Siler Herrimon, a beloved homemaker, wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, peacefully departed this world on April 10, 2025, in Memphis, Tennessee. Born on July 28, 1931, in Silerton, Tennessee, Patty's life was woven with threads of love, dedication, and an unwavering spirit that touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Patty was a proud graduate of Bolivar Central High School, class of 1950, where she not only excelled in academics but also showcased her remarkable athletic talent. For several years, she held the record for the most points scored in a basketball game—a testament to her determination and competitive spirit.

Her greatest passion was always her family. As a devoted mother to her children, Patty approached her role as a homemaker with heartfelt dedication. She kept a clean house filled with warmth and love, creating a nurturing environment that fostered many wonderful memories. Patty's legacy is most poignantly encapsulated in the words of those who knew her best; simply put, she was a good mom.

Beyond her family responsibilities, Patty found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved antiquing and was often seen at yard and estate sales, uncovering treasures that would bring a sparkle to her own home. Her passion for collecting glass added a unique charm to her life, embodying her appreciation for beauty in everyday objects.

Patty found strength and solace in her faith as a Baptist, which guided her through life's challenges. She cherished the time spent with her family and friends, especially with her dear sisters, Betty Jean Stewart of Memphis and Mary Ann Russell of Bolivar.

Patty is survived by her beloved daughter and son-in-law, Shelia Pyland and Marcus of Lakeland, TN; her son, James Herrimon of Oakland; grandchildren, Abby Pyland Wallis, David Ray and Kenny Sparks; and great-grandchildren, Hope Ray and Shannon Ray, all of whom will carry her loving spirit with them.

In her passing, Patty joins those who have gone before her, including her parents, Clifford Paul and Eathel Ivy Siler; her husband, Joe Edward Herrimon; and her daughter, Patty Jo Ray, along with her brothers Wayne Siler and Joe Siler. Their reunion is a source of comfort and peace for those left behind, reminding us of the enduring bonds of family that never truly fade.

Patty Ruth Siler Herrimon's life was a beautiful tapestry of love, which serves as an inspiration to all. Her memory will live on in the hearts of many, forever cherished and dearly missed.
