Patsy D. King departed this life Monday, January 24, 2022 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
The widow of Paul Howard King, whom she married on May 29, 1981, she worked at MasterSlack for 10-12 years and then retired from Dover Elevator (Thyssen-Krupp), where she worked for almost 34 years. She was born Saturday, June 23, 1945, in Hardeman County, daughter of the late Earl Howell and Partheina Thearp McKee, and lived all of her life here in the county. Patsy was married to and adored by her husband, Paul, for more than 30 years before he passed in 2013. She raised her children to love and worship God, always supporting her local church. She instilled in them a strong work ethic and led by example. She loved to cook, worked in the garden while she was able, and watched "Gunsmoke" when she wasn't. Her love and support was forever present and she will be missed by all who knew her. Mrs. King was a very active member of Brints Chapel Baptist Church and would never hesitate to tell people 'You need Jesus'.
