Patricia L. Lowery

Patricia L. Bonifay Lowery of Waynesboro was born February 28, 1936 in Santa Rosa Beach, FL the daughter of the late William and Alieen Williams Bonifay. Mrs. Lowery died Friday, March 13, 2015 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 79 Years, 13 Days. She was married to Joe Lowery and he preceded her in death in 1993. She had lived in Pensacola, Florida earlier in life. Mrs. Lowery, a homemaker, was a member of Green River Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, listening to gospel music, and being a part of her church family at Green River Baptist.

She is survived by two daughters, Betty Johnson and husband Bernie of Jacksonville , FL and Donna Butler of Nashville , TN, three sons, David Melton and wife Mary Jo of Tioga, PA, Billy Melton of La Vergne, TN, Johnny Melton and wife Tamara of White Bluff , TN, 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Lowery was preceded in death by a son, James Micheal Melton and a grandson, Johnathan Morgan.

Services will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at 11:00 M at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Cal Hampton officiating. Burial will follow in the Walnut Grove Cemetery near Waynesboro with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be Monday, March 16th from 5:00-8:00 PM and Tuesday from 8:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
