Patricia Ann Gayle Davis was born February 25, 1941 in Martinsville, Virginia, the daughter of the late John Ryland and Bertie Lee Moody Gayle. She was united in marriage to Bronson Edward Davis on January 15, 1961.
Mrs. Davis was a retired employee of Lincoln Brass and was a member of the Wayne Bible Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee.
Mrs. Davis departed this life on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee from injuries sustained in an automobile accident at the age of 68 Years, 2 Months, 3 Days.
She is survived by her husband, Bronson Edward Davis; a son, Darrell Davis and wife, Brenda; a daughter, Robin Gail Davis Cummings all of Waynesboro, TN; two grandchildren, Caleb Jon Cummings, Brooklyn Lee Davis Foster; a grt-grandchild, Richard Jace Foster; a brother, John Mitchell Gayle of Martinsville, VA.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by a brother, James Thomas Gayle.
Services will be held on Friday, May 1, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Leo Doyle officiating. Burial will follow in the Walnut Grove Cemetery, Waynesboro, with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing. Pallbearers will be Blake Davis, Byron Davis, Colby Baer, Mitchell Gayle, Terry Davis, Jason Gilham. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Kirkland and Tim Tucker.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 30, 2009 from 5 pm to 9 pm and Friday, May 1, 2009 from 8 am to service time at the funeral home.
