Mrs. Bishop passed away Wednesday morning at Pine Meadows Healthcare Center in Bolivar.
The widow of V. H. "Sam" Grantham, Edmond "Bill" Brown and Arthur R. Bishop, all of whom preceded her in death, she worked in the dietary department of Bolivar General Hospital and also owned and operated Free Style Shoe Store in Middleton. She was born October 29, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan to Oleon Lee "Red" Grantham and Bessie Adams Grantham, lived most of her life in Middleton and for her remaining years in Bolivar. She had an intense love of music, playing bass in a band with her husband at benefits and nursing homes, and enjoyed gardening and yard work. Her family states that she 'loved family, friends, neighbors and her church'. Mrs. Bishop was a member of Bolivar Church of Christ and Middleton Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth and Jimmy Grantham, both of Middleton; four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. In addition to her husbands and her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Grantham and a granddaughter, Seprina Grantham.
