Pastelle Davis Lain, 91, of Hickory Valley, died Thursday, December 29, 2005 at NHC Healthcare in Somerville.
The widow of William Marshall Lain, who died in May 1969 after 31 years of marriage, she retired as a nurse at Western Mental Health Institute. Mrs. Lain was born October 12, 1914 in Middleton, daughter of the late Edgar Seamore Davis and Annie Lee Crawford Davis and lived in this area all of her life. She was an avid seamstress and gardener and was a member of Grand Junction First Baptist Church.
Services were 2 PM Sunday, January 1, 2006 at Shackelford Funeral Directors Bolivar chapel with Juston Gates officiating. Burial was in Reaves Cemetery near Middleton.
Survivors include two daughters, Gwendolyn Yager of Moscow and Doris Parsons of Oakland; one son, Ken Lain of Cloverport; one sister, Nettie Osteen Skelton of Moscow; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and four great, great granchildren.
