Mrs. McKee departed this life Sunday, January 6, 2013 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
The widow of Pete McKee, who died on December 3, 1992, after 40 years of marriage, she was retired as a production worker with Harman International Corporation. She was born February 14, 1927, in McNairy County, to the late Floyd and Allie King Thearp and lived all of her life in Bolivar and Hardeman County. She had worked at various other jobs, including a bakery, a food processing plant, a garment factory and for the Kilgore Corporation. Mrs. McKee enjoyed working and loved gardening and growing flowers. She was a Baptist in belief.
Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Patsy King (Paul) of Middleton, Diane Smith (Randy) of Nashville; three sisters, Genele Ervin of Bolivar, Jeanette Wiloughby of Toone and Bryndal Sipes of Jackson; two brothers, Gene and Robert Thearp both of Bolivar; five grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Thearp.
