Parnell Hardin Shearin, 85, of Middleton, died Sunday, November 26, 2006 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
The widower of Gladys Henley Shearin, who died January 22, 2003, he lived all of his life in Hardeman County. He was born October 28, 1921 in Saulsbury, son of the late Sidney Edward Shearin and Tennie Mae Pruitt Shearin. He was Baptist in belief.
Graveside services were 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at Ebenezer Cemetery near Middleton with David Cooper officiating.
Shackelford Funeral Directors of Bolivar were in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include one daughter, Faye Shearin of Bolivar; two sons, Jay Shearin of Bolivar and Jimmy Shearin of Whiteville; one sister, Maxine Scott of Oakwood, TX and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by one son, Stevie Lee Shearin; five brothers, Joe, Horace, Berry, Benny and Ed Shearin and one sister, Thelma Smith.
