Parker Brooks was born May 24, 1930 in Milledgeville, Tennessee the son of the late Edgar E. and Nealie Jane Johnson Brooks.
Mr. Brooks was united in marriage to Rena P. Pitts on December 30, 1955.
He served in the United States Army during the Koren War. He was Baptist in Faith and a retired truck driver.
Mr. Brooks departed this life on February 17, 2008 in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 77 Years, 8 Months, 24 Days.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Rena Pitts Brooks of Byhalia, MS; three daughters, Barbara Ferrell and husband Ray of Memphis, TN, Tammy McCallum and husband John of Saltillo, MS and Allison Turner and husband David of Byhalia, MS; a son, Brady Brooks and ex-wife Sherri of Bartlett, TN; two brothers, Ed Brooks, Jr. of Sardis, TN and James Brooks of Peoria, IL; eight grandchildren, Brooke Ferrell of Memphis, TN, Bret Ferrell and wife Lindsey of Bartlett, TN, Christopher Cooper of Saltillo, MS, Ashley Cooper Smith and husband Benjamin of Saltillo, MS, Brandon Turner of Byhalia, MS, Brittany Brooks of Bartlett, TN, Dalton Turner of Byhalia, MS, Brady Brooks of Bartlett, TN; a great-grandchild, Reagan Smith of Saltillo, MS.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Brooks was preceded in death by four sisters, Myrthel Thomas, Aleen Hutcherson, Ann Sharp and Katie Reed; a brother, Samuel Brooks and a grandchild, Jeremy Cooper.
