P. J. Maxedon

P. J. Maxedon of Selmer, Tennessee, was born on February 20, 1929, the son of the late Bertran Alexander Maxedon and Lillian Reeder Maxedon. He married Dorothy Marie Counce who survives. Mr. Maxedon was a United States Navy Air Force Veteran, a past chairman of the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, and an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Selmer.Mr. Maxedon died on Saturday, June 9, 2007, in Selmer, at the age of 78 years, 3 months, and 20 days.Survivors are his wife Marie Maxedon; daughter, Terrie Kerby and husband Gary; and son Wayne Maxedon, all of Selmer. Also survived by a sister Varina Newcomb of Dover, New Hampshire; two brothers, Don Maxedon of Decaturville, Tennessee, and Bert A. Maxedon of Selmer.5 Grandchildren 9 Great-GrandchildrenOther than his parents, Mr. Maxedon was also preceded in death by a brother Reeder Maxedon.
