Owen Jones

He was born and reared in Jackson, TN Madison County, son of the late Wylie Jones and Fannie Meredith Jones. He went to school in Madison County. He entered the U.S. Navy in 1941, V6 Ordnanceman, gunnery crew, in the Islands in the Pacific. He returned to Jackson in 1945 after serving five years. He married Marie Castellaw of Jackson in 1948 and they made their home in Jackson. In 2003 they moved to Henderson to be near their daughter Meredith . Mr. Jones was a golfer.He was a teacher of Auto Mechanics. He was a Baptist.He is survived by his wife, Marie Castellaw Jones of Henderson; a daughter, Meredith Holder (Phil) of Henderson and a sister, Martha Smythe of Jackson.
