Owen Eugene Jaggars

Owen Eugene Jaggars was born on March 20, 1931, the son of the late William Vincent and Lurlar Mary Barnett Jaggars. He passed from this life on Friday, November 21, 2008, in Selmer at the age of 77 years, 8 months, and 1 day. Mr. Jaggars lived all of his life in McNairy County.He was a member of Eastview Baptist Church and was a Deacon. He loved attending and helping out at the McNairy County Developmental Center.Survivors are his sister Dorothy Louise Jaggars Childs of Jackson, Tennessee; 10 nieces and nephews and a host of great nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.Other than his parents, Mr. Jaggars was also preceded in death by his grandparents John Lewis Malone Jaggars and Phebe Lydia Anthum Malone Jaggars; John Mont Barnett and Sarah Catherine White Barnett. Also preceded by siblings Robert Lee Jaggars, Mammie Blanche Jaggars Armstrong, Mildred Alberta Jaggars Wyatt Norris, William Wilkens Jaggars, and John Raymond Jaggars; and a special friend Virginia Davis.
