OWEN DOUGLAS (DOUG) GRAY
was born in Savannah, Tennessee on February 2, 1936 the son of the late Ulysses Prim and Lizzie Stricklin Gray.
On November 7, 1959 he was united in marriage to Maxell Franks, who survives.
Mr. Gray was owner and operator of Gray's Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning for 48 years. He enjoyed coon hunting and raising coon dogs and riding horses. Mr. Gray was a good honest man who loved his family. He was best daddy ever and a good husband and provider. Mr. Gray lived in Hardin County all of his life.
He departed this life on March 23, 2009 at his residence in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 73 years, 1 month and 21 days.
Other than his wife, Maxell of Adamsville, Tennessee, he is survived by 3 daughters, Sherry Nell Gray Garner, Julia Gaye Hansen and her husband James and Stephanie Jill Willoughby and her husband Greg, all of Savannah, Tennessee
3 sons, Pete Gray and his wife Pam of Savannah, Tennessee, Barry Max Gray and his wife Amy of Somerville, Tennessee and Christopher Owen Gray and his wife Julie of Smyrna, Tennessee
12 grandchildren, Carly Gray, Josh Gray, Beth Gray, Jonathan Garner, Ashton Hansen, Morgan Willoughby, Molly Willoughby, Aly Gray, Maggie Gray, Carrie Gray, Emma Gray and Owen Gray.
