Ottis J.R. Crowell

He was born and reared in McNairy County, near Milledgeville, the son of the late Noonon Casey and Gladys Turner Crowell. He went to school at Adamsville. He was married to Ruby Mae Smith in 1953. They made their home near Milledgeville. He worked as a truck driver most of his life and for the past twenty years he drove for D & J Transport of Lubbock, TX. He had served as an Alderman at Milledgeville for several terms.



He is survived by his wife, Ruby Mae Smith Crowell of Enville; a son Tony Crowell of Adamsville; two daughters, Carla Edge and Linda Gail Bethune both of Enville; six grandchildren, and two sisters, Ann Austin of Sardis and Carolyn Brasfield of Montezuma.
