Ottie Tanner

Ottie Gardner Tanner was born November 26, 1921 in McNairy County, Tennessee the daughter of the late James Calvin and Edith Jones Gardner.On October 1, 1940, she was united in marriage to Nolan Oquin Tanner who preceded her in death on August 6, 1959.Mrs. Tanner was a retired machine operator for 25 years at Brown Shoe Company in Selmer, TN. She was also a member of the Pleasant Site Baptist Church.Mrs. Tanner departed this life on June 19, 2006 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 84 Years, 6 Months, 24 Days. She is survived by five daughters: Brenda Kay Horton and husband Lee and Doris Delaine Tanner, all of Selmer, Tennessee; Janice Lee Ring and husband James of Michie, Tennessee; Edith Mae Anderson and Pamela Jo Weeks, both of Selmer, Tennessee; two sons: Hugh Oquin Tanner and wife Joyce of Stantonville, Tennessee and George Paul Tanner and wife Elizabeth of Bethel Springs, Tennessee; a sister, Lola Gardner of Selmer, Tennessee; 14 Grandchildren, 15 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
