Ottie T. Smith

Mr. Ottie T. Smith was born on December 13, 1932 in Hardin County, Tennessee the son of the late Edd and Ethel Shipman Smith.

On February 18, 1956 he was united in marriage to the former Ruby Parsons, who survives.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Smith was a member of the Pickwick Church of Christ, a retired heavy equipment operator with Continental Construction Company, and a member of the Operator Union Local 369 in Memphis, Tennessee.

He departed this life on September 30, 2005 at Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 72 years, 9 months and 17 days.

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Ruby Smith of Counce, Tennessee;

two sons: Rickey Smith and his wife, Susan, Randy (Bud) Smith and his wife, Debbie; a daughter, Joyce Cullwell and her husband, Jim Earl, all of Counce, Tennessee;

three grandchildren: Jennifer, Justin and Brandon Smith;

four brothers: Tom Smith of Counce, Tennessee, Ray Smith of Counce, Tennessee,

Jim Smith of Tennessee Ridge, Tennessee and Gerald Smith of Counce, Tennessee;

and one sister, Betty Jane Smith of Counce, Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by two sisters: Vonda Ruth Roberts and Carolyn Smith.
