OSCAR (PETE) RINKS
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on February 24, 1942 the son of the late Oscar Elmer and Martha Maybell Ward Rinks.
On July 20, 1965 he was united in marriage to Martha Ann Matlock, who survives.
Mr. Rinks retired after 30 years as an Iron Worker. He was a member of Ironworker Local 167 in Memphis, Tennessee. Pete was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was such a kind and giving person, anyone who knew him loved him. Even the neighborhood kids called him "Uncle Pete". One thing Pete loved doing was being outside.
Pete departed this life on June 1, 2013 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 71 years, 3 months and 8 days.
In addition to his wife, Martha of Crump, Tennessee, he is survived by his children, Tony Rinks of Crump, Tennessee and Theresa McCormick of Savannah, Tennessee.

Pete loved his grandkids, Lyndsay Chandler McCormick of Savannah, Tennessee and Colton Lynn McCormick of Savannah, Tennessee more than anything in the world and he also had a special place in his heart for Burlison James Frazier of Adamsville, Tennessee , who was like a grandchild.
In addition to his parents, Pete was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Johnny and James Carroll Rinks.
