Opal Johnson

Henderson: Lessie Opal Bullman Plunk Johnson, age 96, died September 9, 2008 at Chester County Healthcare.She was born and reared in the Hopewell Community of McNairy County, the daughter of the late Usyless Newton (U.N.) and Luearkie Plunk Bullman. She was married to Ervin Plunk in 1949 and he died in 1957. She worked on the family farm most of her life, until 1958. She was married to Elbert Johnson in 1958. She was employed at Salant and Salant Corp. during the 1940‘s. She was a baby sitter for many years. Mr. Johnson died November 1998. She was a member of the Estes Church of Christ.She is survived by nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by a step son, Jerry Elbert Johnson (1994); two brothers, Elvis Bullman (1999) and Alvin Bullman (1980), five sisters, Lutie Melton (1996), Ora Bullman (1994), Ollie Bullman (1996), Sudie Austin and Mary Bullman (infant).
