OPAL NEILL JERROLDS
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on February 11, 1921 the daughter of the late Tone Andrew and Virgin Smith Neill.
On March 29, 1941 she was united in marriage to William O. (Billy) Jerrolds, who preceded his wife in death on November 23, 1971.
Mrs. Jerrolds worked for 20 years as a teacher's aide for Hardin County High School and she had also worked at Hardin County General Hospital in the 1960's and 1970's. She was a member of Double Springs Baptist Church. Mrs. Jerrolds loved flowers, gardening and quilts. She was known for making great chocolate and chess pies.
Mrs. Jerrolds departed this life on June 4, 2013 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 92 years, 3 months and 24 days.
She is survived by two sons, Mike and Phillip Jerrolds, both of Savannah, Tennessee
4 grandchildren, Wesley Jerrolds, Lane Jerrolds and Corben Jerrolds, all of Savannah, Tennessee and Kevin Jerrolds of Birmingham, Alabama
4 great grandchildren, Natalie Jerrolds, Parker Jerrolds, Ryan Jerrolds and Hannah Jerrolds
In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Jerrolds was also preceded in death by one son, Richard Clay Jerrolds, four sisters, Bessie Jerrolds, Edith Jerrolds, Alpha Neill and Mary Neill and three brothers, Hardin Neill, Dewey Neill and James (Jim) Neill.
