Opal Evelyn Gean

Services for Opal Evelyn Montgomery Gean, age 74, of County Road 233, Florence, AL, will be Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 1:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Collinwood, TN with Emerald Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of the arrangements. She died at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence on Tuesday, October 24, 2006.



Mrs. Gean, a native of Wayne County, TN, was a retired nurse. She was a daughter of the late Lemuel Gideon (Gid) and Bertha Edna Creasy Montgomery and a sister of the late Ruby Jewel Berry, Ethel May Hayes, Eula Montgomery, Ermen (L. B.) Montgomery, and Lee Otis Montgomery.



Survivors include, her husband of fifty-eight years, Aaron G. Gean, son, Roger G. Gean, both of Florence, AL, daughter, Kathy Diane Patterson of Huntsville, AL, grandchildren, Misty Gean Briggs, Phillip Randall, and Kevin Gean, great-grandchild, Briana McKenzie Gilchrist, brother, Grayford Eugene Montgomery of Cypress Inn, TN, sister, Ida Pearl Berry, Lutts, TN, and several nieces and nephews.
