Opal Davis Fawcett, 91, of Hickory Valley, died Thursday, June 7, 2007 at her home.
The widow of John Thomas Fawcett, who died April 24, 1982 after 46 years of marriage, she was a homemaker. Mrs. Fawcett was born August 2, 1915 in Fayette County, daughter of the late Frank and Ada Smalley Davis. She was a member of Hickory Valley Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Charlotte Matlock of Jackson; four sons, Mike Fawcett of Bolivar, Davis Fawcett of Counce, Travis and Lavoy Fawcett, both of Hickory Valley; two sisters, Pauline Martin and Evelyn Lax, also of Hickory Valley; fourteen grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.
