Oneal Ferguson was born June 30, 1949 in McNairy County, TN the son of the late James Ancile and Margaret Roberta Smith Ferguson.
He was united in marriage to Carolyn Cooksey on May 25, 1973.
Mr. Ferguson was self-employed dozer operator. He had worked for Bob Smith and before that J.W. Ferguson of Ferguson Brothers Construction. He was a member of the Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church in Selmer, Tennessee. He loved drag racing, heavy duty equipment and dirt work.
Mr. Ferguson departed this life on July 28, 2016 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 67 Years, 28 Days. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Ferguson of Selmer, TN; a daughter, Jennifer Ferguson of Corinth, MS; a son, Jim Ferguson of Selmer, TN; three sisters, JoAnn Garrison and husband Clyde of Stantonville, TN, Shirley King and husband Larry of Selmer, TN, Lisa Lipford and husband Ray of Lexington, TN; brother-in-law, Lonnie King of Selmer, TN; nieces and nephews, Michelle Garrison, Alex Lipford, Lorin Lipford, Stephanie Goodrum, and Jason King; great niece, Alise Duncan McDaniel; great nephews, Garrison Williams and Peyton Duncan; great-great niece, Ahylvia McDaniel; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Ferguson was preceded in death by a sister, Patsy King; niece, Sherri King Duncan.
