Olen Price Brison of Waynesboro, TN was born May 8, 1920 in Linden, TN, the son of the late George Washington and Sarah Elizabeth Graham Brison. He was united in marriage to Irene Hinson on May 5, 1945 and she preceded him in death on June 9, 1980.
Mr. Brison was a laborer doing yard work and he departed this life on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 93 Years, 21 Days.
He is survived by a son, James Allen Brison of Waynesboro, TN; daughters, Lynda Keller of Lacey's Springs, AL, Joyce Thrasher of Collinwood, TN; grandchildren, Salina W. Moorehead and husband, Hugh, Billy G. Walls, Jr. and wife, Kim, Chassidy Haddock and husband, Tony, Nicole Allen and husband, Josh, and Britney Thrasher; great-grandchildren, Jennifer Long, Billy G. Walls, III, Ethan, Makayla, and Tommy Walls, Tyler and Cooper Moorehead, Tucker and Courtney Thompson, Harley Haddock, Brayden Hampton,Tessa and Mason Allen and Dawson Warren; a sister, Hazel Treadwell of Linden, TN; nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Brison was preceded in death by a daughter, Leann Staggs; grandchild; Renae Hill; brothers, Otis and Obie Brison; half-brother, Plummer Barnett; a sister, Dovie Holder.
Services will be Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Bobby Pinckley officiating. Burial will follow in the Downey Cemetery, Hohenwald, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Hugh Moorehead, Billy Walls, Jr., Billy Walls, III, Tony Haddock, Josh Allen, Tyler Moorehead.
