Olela Boatman Taylor was born October 26, 1907 in McNairy County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Nealy and Martha Jane Weatherly Boatman. She was united in marriage to Roy M. Taylor, who preceded her in death in August of 1966.Mrs. Taylor was a homemaker and was a member of the church of Christ. She also attended Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church. She was an accomplished quilter and a hard worker for her family, giving much and asking nothing in return. Mrs. Taylor departed this life on July 6, 2007 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 99 Years, 8 Months, 10 Days. She is survived by four daughters: Geneva Knouff of Camden, Tennessee, Peggy Tucker and husband Leslie of Pocahontas, Tennessee, Janis Tate and husband Rex of Ozone, Arkansas and Carolyn Brigance and husband Joe of Millington, Tennessee; a son, Paul Taylor and wife Marie of Springfield, Missouri; 15 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren and 9 Great Great Grandchildren.In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Taylor was also preceded in death by two sons, James Taylor and Roy Taylor Jr., two sisters and four brothers.
