She was born in Saltillo, Hardin County, and reared in Cabo Community of Chester County.

She is survived by a son James Connor, Jr of Lexington; two daughters, Julia Connor Edgar and husband Charles of Lexington and Kay Burkhead of Lexington; 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
