Ocie Virginia Burns

Services for Ocie V. Pulley Burns of Waynesboro will be Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Waynesboro with Bobby Pinckley and Paul Inman officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hebron Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.



Mrs. Burns was born April 4, 1920 in Waynesboro, TN the daughter of the late Mack and Willie Omega Wilbanks Pulley. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Burns was preceded in death by 2 infant daughters, sisters, Hettie Devers, Emmanola Combs, and a brother, Talmage Edward Pulley. She was married to Willie Burns March 26, 1939 and he preceded her June 8, 1998. Mrs. Burns died Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro at the age of 92 Years, 9 Months, 11 Days. Mrs. Burns, a member of Calvary Baptist Church, was very active in her community serving in the Red Hats and Ladies Bunco Club.



She is survived by a brother, James Thomas Pulley of Waynesboro, TN;

several nieces and nephews.
