Norman Richard Lucas

Norman Richard Lucas of Clifton, TN was born September 26, 1913 in Waverly, Virginia, the son of the late William Herbert and Mabel Dornburg Lucas. He was united in marriage to Evelyn Doris Suter on December 25, 1935 and she preceded him in death on November 1, 2006.Mr. Lucas was a retired carpenter and farmer and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness in Waynesboro, Tennessee.He had lived in Harrison, MI before moving to Waynesboro and Clifton, TN.Mr. Lucas departed this life on Sunday, March 28, 2010 at his home in Clifton, Tennessee at the age of 96 Years, 6 Months, 2 Days.He is survived by three sons, Neil Lucas and wife, Carolyn of Easling, SC, Jerry Lucas and wife, Mary of West Branch, MI, Jim Lucas and wife, Rachel of Collinwood, TN; two daughters, Glennis Mosher of Armada, MI, Kathy C. Ranshaw and husband, Allen of Clifton, TN; 21 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild.In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Lucas was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Richard Mosher; grandchildren, Kelli Mosher and Kamren Ranshaw.Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at 3:00 PM at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness in Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family. At his request, his body was cremated.
