Norma Jean Warren Martin

Norma Jean Warren Martin of Waynesboro, TN was born August 4, 1936 in Waynesboro, TN, the daughter of the late Samuel Lewis and Lillie May Turnbow Warren. She was united in marriage to Elvin Cecil Martin on July 16, 1958 and he preceded her in death on November 16, 2020.

Mrs. Martin was a seamstress and homemaker and departed this life on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at her home at the age of 85 Years, 2 Months, 5 Days.

She is survived by a son, Tracy Martin and wife, Cindy of Waynesboro, TN; a daughter, Dana Lawrence and husband, Keith of South Fulton, TN; grandchildren, Chelsie Chumney and husband, Jay, Shelby Campbell and husband, Sonny, Mallory and Joel Martin and Anna Kate and Connor Lawrence; great-grandchildren, Amelia and Savannah Campbell and Joanna and Janie Chumney; sister, Ludine Martin of Waynesboro, TN; sisters-in-law, Juanita Warren of Virginia Beach, VA and Bernice Martin of Corinth, MS and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by a brother, Cletus Warren and sisters, Mable Warren and Hazel Inman.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 11, 2021 at Memorial Gardens of Wayne County in Waynesboro, Tennessee with Adam Harris officiating. Burial will follow with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.

Visitation will be from 10 am to service time at Memorial Gardens.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be given to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN or The Butterfly Foundation in Waynesboro, TN.
