Norma Dessie Lawson

Norma Dessie (Sis) Weeks Lawson was born June 15, 1924, in Corinth, Mississippi, the daughter of the late Cordie Harrison and Maggie Moore Weeks.
She was united in marriage to Andrew T. Lawson on July 21, 1951. He preceeded her in death on July 21, 2009.
Mrs. Lawson departed this life on January 26, 2013, in Ramer, Tennessee, at the age of 88 years, seven months and 11 days.
Mrs. Lawson was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, mother-in-law and grandmother. A member of the Ramer Cumberland Presbyterian Church, she loved the Lord and the study of His word. She was an extremely hard worker and always kept busy, during her youth at her father's slugburger cafe, at home and at Levi Strauss where she worked for many years. In the summer she could be found gardening, canning vegetables or working in her flower beds. She was happiest when she was feeding family and friends, especially at Christmas.
She is survived by her daughter, Janice Nixon and husband Danny of Ramer, TN; two grandchildren, Lorie Clayton and husband John of Middleton, TN and Mindy Rogers and husband Luke of Knoxville, TN; three great-grandchildren: Joseph Clayton, Caelan Clayton and Addison Rogers; three sisters-in-law: Kathleen Weeks of Eastview, TN, Mabel Cramer of Selmer, TN, and Maggie Lawson of Memphis, TN; and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Lawson was preceded in death by her brother, John Weeks.
