Norma Ruth Harris

Norma Ruth Harris was born February 20, 1922 in Selmer, Tennessee the daughter of the late Martin Arthur and Daphen Browder Harris.After graduating from Selmer High School, Miss Harris attended Miller Hawkins Business College. She was employed as a secretary for the War Department in Washington, DC and for the Army Depot in Memphis, TN, from which she retired. She was a member of the Fourth Street church of Christ in Selmer and the McNairy County Democratic Women.Miss Harris departed this life on August 29, 2008 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 86 Years, 6 Months, 9 Days. She is survived by a brother, Gene Paul Harris of Selmer, TN, and her extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, Miss Harris was preceded in death by a sister, Eleanor Virginia Harris and a brother, Robert Henry Harris.
