Pat Hollingsworth, Born in McNairy County, November 25, 1926, which happened to fall on Thanksgiving , to the late John and Sallie Vinson. She was named Nona Mae, but her father called her Pat, and all her life that\'s what everyone called her, except her mother, and it was always Nona.She grew up working alongside her brothers in the cotton and tobacco fields, and helping with anything that need to be done on a farm. She had two brothers, Hillard and Lillian, and a half sister, Harlie Dee and a half brother, Harvey.In August of 1945, at the age of 18, she married Aubrey Hollingsworth, and they had a daughter, Audrey, and a son, Jerry. They were married 46 years until his death in 1991.Even thought Pat worked on the cotton fields chopping cotton in the spring, and picking cotton sometimes through December to provide for her children, she never failed to take her children to church on Sunday morning, Sunday night, and Wednesday night at Stantonville Church of Christ.The family moved from Stantonville, TN to Nashville in 1963 when Aubrey took a job as a guard at the State Prison. She became a housewife then, and no longer had to work in the cotton fields.She was a member of Pennsylvania Avenue Church of Christ for many years, and when it closed, she attended James Avenue Church of Christ for the last several years.
