Funeral services for Edith (Rich) Hollander, age 85, Sheffield, AL
will be 11:00 am Saturday, June 16, 2007 at Shackelford Chapel in Collinwood, TN with Tim Hanback officiating. Interment to follow in Memorial Gardens with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be Friday, June 15, 2007 from 6:00-8:00 pm and Saturday, June 16, 2007 from 9:00 am until service time at Shackelford Funeral Home, Collinwood, TN.
Mrs. Hollander, a native of Wayne County, TN, died Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at her home in Sheffield. She was a daughter of the late Lewis Franklin Rich and Virgie Pigg Rich. Mrs. Hollander was preceded in death by her husband; Samuel A. Hollander; and sons, Robert Harold and Clyde Ray Hollander. She was retired from A & P Bakery in Detroit, Michigan where she had made her home for many years. She was a member of Senior Citizens Center and attended the Church of the Nazarene in Sheffield. She loved her family; friends and enjoyed gardening and cooking.
Survivors include, daughter, Betty Joyce Bates of Ypsilanti, Mich.; sons, Larry Joe Hollander of Detroit, MI, Paul Douglas Hollander of Sheffield, AL, and Samuel Roy Hollander of Ypsilanti, MI;
18 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Gertie Arnett and Reba Holt both of Collinwood, TN, and Viva Garrett of Virginia, and a brother, Russell Rich of Collinwood, TN
