Nona Melinda Garner

Nona Melinda Garner was born in the Old Union Community of Hardin County, Tennessee on October 7, 1916 the daughter of the late Oscar Franklin and Martha Lomax Plunk.She took care of her parents until their death and in November of 1962 she was united in marriage to T.J. Garner. They were together forty one years until he preceded her in death on May 18, 2003. Mrs. Garner was a homemaker and a member of Faith Pointe Church in Adamsville.She departed this life on May 1, 2007 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 90 years, 6 months and 24 days.Mrs. Garner is survived by a brother, Willard Plunk of Anderson, Indiana; a sister-in-law, Mary Ruth Plunk of Adamsville, Tennessee; one nephew and one niece.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers: Troy, Lawerence and Roy Plunk.
