Nita Jean Bailey, age 75, of Lutts, TN, died Friday, December 21, 2007 at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital, Florence, AL after an extended illness.
Services will be Monday, December 24, 2007 at 1 pm at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel, Waynesboro, TN with John E. Banks, Steven Cromwell, and Emerald Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, TN, with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 23, 2007 from 5 pm to 9 pm and Monday, December 24, 2007 from 8 am to service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Bailey, a native of Cypress Inn, TN, was a homemaker, had worked with her husband in the family business, and was a member of White’s Creek Church. Mrs. Bailey lived in Pontiac, MI until December, 1955, when her family moved to the Highway 69 community at Lutts, TN. She was preceded in death by parents, Roy Franklin and Pearl Shepard Dickey and brother, Ira Curtis Dickey.
Survivors, husband, Roy Gene Bailey, Lutts, TN; son, Dickey Joe (Patricia) Bailey, Lutts, TN; daughter, Debra Ann Bailey Morris (Eddie) Harville, Savannah, TN; grandchildren, Jennifer Leanne Morris Bosworth, Jimmy Lynn Morris, Jr., Melanie Jo Bailey Cromwell, Julia Kaye Morris Hammond, Emily Rose Bailey, Chelsea Erin Bailey; step-grandchildren, Tammie Blount, Kyna Talley; great-grandchildren, Sailor Leah and Baylee Eliza Jean Cromwell, Caleb Christopher Hammond; step-great-grandchildren, Mollie, Jacob, and Grace Bosworth, Sara and Samantha Talley; brother, Roy Frank Dickey, Hamilton, AL; sister, Carolyn Dickey Rowell, Riverview, MI; nieces and nephews.
Mamaw Nita loved the Lord and her family above all else.
