Nick Navarro

Nick Navarro, 34 of Ramer died Friday, July 15, 2005 in Walnut, Mississippi. Services were held Wednesday, July 20 at 1 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Selmer with Larry Cooksey, David Mills and Kenny Marcum officiating. Burial followed in the Liberty Cemetery in Bethel Springs. Andrew Cuellar, Keith Garrison, Michael Navarro, Gerald Curry, Shawn Garrison and Eddie Worley served as pallbearers.



He was a member of the World of Truth Church in Ramer where he coached youth basketball teams. He worked as a fork lift operator for Thyssen Krupp Elevator in Middleton.



Nick is survived by his wife Donna Lynn Hendrix Navarro of Ramer; stepdaughter, April Nethery of Harden, KY; two stepsons, Micah Nethery of Paducah, KY; Matthew Nethery of Smithland, KY; seven step grandchildren; mother, Jesusa Navarro of San Angelo, Texas; three sisters, Mary Mills and husband Kevin of Corinth, MS; Emily Mills and husband Chuck also of Corinth; Linda Navarro of San Angelo; four brothers,Juan Martinez and Jerry Navarro both of San Angelo; Mike Navarro, Jr. and wife Lisa of Corinth; Leroy Navarro and wife Jennifer also of Corinth; mother-in-law, Mary Sue Hendrix of Paducah, KY; sisters-in-law, Vonda Powers of Paducah and Cindi Shepherd of West Paducah, as well as several nieces and nephews.



Other than his father, Nick was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Concepcion and Ignacio Flores; his paternal grandparents, Leonor and Preston Navarro; as well as a brother-in-law Stan Hendrix.
