Nicholas H. Edwards

Dr. Nicholas H. Edwards, age 95 of Grand Junction, Tennessee, departed this life Friday morning, October 18, 2019 at his home.
Dr. Edwards was born in Texas on July 23, 1924 to the late Fleet Eugene Edwards Sr. and Mattie Lee Schaeffer Edwards. He served in the United States Army Air Force and on March 9, 1949, was united in marriage to Janie Winstead Edwards, who survives. He and his wife moved to Hardeman County in the late 1950s.
He was a medical doctor and practiced for many years prior to his retirement. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Grand Junction. He was also a member of the American Medical Association, and was active in the Grand Junction Ruritan Club for 20 years.
In addition to his wife of 70 years, he is survived by his two sons, Nick Edwards Jr. and wife Sara of Grand Junction, and Scott W. Edwards of Atlanta, Georgia.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Michael Lee Edwards, who died in August of 2019; a sister, Anne Swafford; and a brother, Fleet E. Edwards, Jr.
