Neva Mullins, age 76 of Saulsbury, passed from this life on May 8, 2012 in Bolivar, TN.
The daughter of Mark and Hazel Knight Davis, she was born August 2, 1935 in Quitman, Arkansas. She married Jessie Mullins February 2, 1952 and was a homemaker. Mrs. Mullins was a member of the "Red Hats Society", the editor of the Grand Valley Lakes newspaper and the voice of Grand Valley Lakes in the Bolivar Bulletin. She loved painting, singing, was a member of the Art League, Bunko Club and helped establish the Grand Valley Lakes Fire Department and Cemetery. She did alot of volunteer work at Grand Valley Lakes where she lived for more that 23 years. She was a faithful member of West Memorial Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher.
Including her husband of 60 years, Mrs. Mullins is survived by three daughters, Vicky Boggs and husband Jerry of Geneseo, IL, Peggy Boyer and husband Bob of Moline, IL, and Ginger Stewart and husband Michael of Middleton; three sisters, Norma Phillips of Colona, IL, Dorothy East and husband Edward of Saulsbury, and June Miller and husband Rick of LaPanto, AR; one brother Don Davis of Coal Valley, IL; 6 grandchildren, Lacy Mullins, Nic Stewart, Andrew Stewart, Jessica Boyer, Cassidy Stewart and Jared Boyer; and by 2 great grandchildren, Seth and Carleigh Flake. She was preceded in death by two sons, Rick Mullins (1993) and Benny Mullins (1950); one brother, J. C. Davis; and one sister Dale Cigottie.
