Neva Lou Brown

September 2, 1947 — January 20, 2025

Neva Lou Brown, born on September 2, 1947, left this world peacefully on January 20, 2025. Neva was a beacon of warmth and kindness, never having met a stranger. Her engaging personality and love for friends and family made her a cherished presence in the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

The daughter of James (Bob) and Corene Pulley, she brought joy and laughter wherever she went. A talented musician, Neva loved to sing and play the piano, filling rooms with melodies and her unmistakable spirit. Her affection for her family will always be remembered, as she found deep connections and joy in every moment spent with them.

Neva is survived by her beloved niece, Peggy Webb, and her great-niece, Amber (Byron) Griggs, alongside her great-nephews, Jeremy (Leah) Skipworth and Ryan (Kristen) Webb. Her legacy continues through her great-great-nieces, Kelli (Andrew) Kelly, Katelyn Griggs, and Callyn Webb, as well as her great-great-nephews, Jake Skipworth, Ty Skipworth, and Bryce Webb, great-great-great Niece and nephew Krew and Kendall Kelly, and many more nieces and nephews, and cousins and sisters-in-law all of whom carry her love in their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. (Runt) Brown, her dear child, Adela Hope Brown, her sister, Nell Brown, her brother-in-law, Jerry Brown, and her cherished nephew, Randel Webb.

Neva's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Volunteer Home Health and the staff at Waynesboro Post Acute and Rehab for their unwavering kindness and love during her time there. The care she received was a testament to the bonds she formed, including those with neighbors whom she adopted as family—the Raynes Family and Richard and Barbara Moore—who often visited and shared in her life with palpable love and care.

As we bid farewell to Neva Lou Brown, we celebrate a life rich in love, laughter, and music—a life lived fully, and a spirit that will echo in the hearts of many forever.
