Services for Nettie L. Quillin Edwards, age 85 of Waynesboro, TN will be held Sunday, November 2, 2008 at 1:30 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors at in Waynesboro, Tennessee with Larry Janes officiating. Burial will follow in the Railroad Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
She departed this life Saturday, November 1, 2008 at Wayne Care Nursing Home in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 85 Years, 10 Months, 11 Days. She was born December 21, 1922 in Collinwood, Tennessee, a daughter of the late John Lewis and Estella Stults Quillin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Leon Edwards; a granddaughter, Amy Holt; four brothers, Chester Quillin, Howard Quillin, Lester Quillin, Grady Quillin; three sisters, Hettie (Quillin) Brewer, Lettie (Quillin) Dodd, and Betty Quillin.
Mrs. Edwards was a waitress at East Side Cafe and Waynesboro Motel and Restaurant.
She is survived by a daughter, Kathryn Kay Edwards Holt of Waynesboro, TN; a son, David L. Edwards of Waynesboro, TN; three grandchildren, Steven Holt, Michael Edwards, and Keila (Edwards) Akins; four great grandchildren, Jamison David Edwards, Ricky Zane Akins, Skylar Leigh Akins, and Tatum Faith Akins; a brother, Hubert Quillin of Collinwood, TN.
