Neola Wiggs

Mrs. Wiggs passed away Wednesday night in Cordova.



The widow of Ralph D. Wiggs, who died December 1997, she was a dispatcher for the Hardeman County Sheriff’s Department and the Bolivar Police Department and a sales clerk for the Veteran’s Administration Merchandise Store. Mrs. Wiggs was born December 2, 1926 in Hardeman County to the late William Thomas Fish and Cora Donaldson Fish and lived here most of her life and lived in Memphis from 1946 to 1967 before moving to Oakland in 2005. Mrs. Wiggs was a member of Highland Street Church of Christ in Memphis and involved in the Ladies Auxiliary and the VFW in Cordova.



She is survived by two daughters, Gloria Baxter Herring (Bill) of Collierville and Nelda Poston (George) Reed of Cordova; a son, Harold Lynn (Betsy) Poston of Oakland; a sister, Opal Sipes Janes of Bolivar; 6 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 9 step great grandchildren; and 2 step great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Laverne, Raymond and Wesley Fish; and 2 sisters, Cleo Harbin and Dorothy Booth.
