Nellie D. Williams departed this life on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at the age of 79 years, 3 months, and 19 days. She was born in Adamsville, Tennessee, on May 9, 1942, the daughter of the late Cratus Moore and Vadie Younger Jines. On June 11, 1971, she was united in marriage to Thomas Williams, who preceded her in death on December 3, 1995.
Nellie was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church in Humboldt, Tennessee. She liked to go fishing, dancing, watching wrestling, working outside, and going to yard sales. She never met a stranger and always had a smile for you.
Nellie had worked as a CNA for Nu Care, a job she was very dedicated to. She was a very hard worker and loved her patients. She had a large host of friends, and loved her kids and grandkids fiercely.
Nellie is survived by her children, Shelia Moore of Savannah, Tennessee, Regina Decker of Veroqua, Wisconsin, and Freddie Moore and his wife Jeana of Humboldt, Tennessee; grandchildren, Richie Moore, Jeff Moore, DJ Williams, Judson Powers, Heather McClain (Junior), Natalie Selph (Patrick), and Zach Moore (Ashley); 16 great grandchildren; brothers, Ray Moore and his wife Geneva of Savannah, Tennessee and Jimmy Moore and his wife Carolyn of Humboldt, Tennessee; sisters, Ann Williams of Savannah, Tennessee, Emily Keen and Rachel Hall, both of Hanover, Indiana.
In addition to her parents and husband, Nellie was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Moore; sisters, Marilyn Tosh, Pat Newell, and Brenda Rainey; and a brother, Larry Moore.
