Nellie Bishop Lane, 85, of Grand Junction, died Thursday, March 2, 2006 at Bolivar General Hospital.
The widow of Robert E. “Red†Lane, who died September 9, 1997, she was a homemaker. Mrs. Lane was born April 27, 1920 in Hardeman County, daughter of the late John L. and Lillie Graves Bishop and lived most of her life in Arlington before making her home in Grand Junction 10 years ago. She was an avid gardener, working tirelessly on her yard daily, and was a member of Grand Junction First United Methodist Church.
Services were 10:00 AM Monday, March 6, 2006 at Grand Junction First United Methodist Church with Rev. Richard Hackleman officiating. Graveside services were 12:30 PM Monday at Memory Hill Gardens Cemetery in Germantown. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Bolivar were in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include three sons, Robert Garner Lane of Bartlett, Marion Arnold Lane of Shelbyville and William Curtis Lane of Grand Junction; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
