Nellie Mae Riley Franks was born on August 7, 1932 in Clifton, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Charlie Otis and Bessie Eloise Smith Riley.
Nellie worked for Angelica Corporation and was a member of Love and Truth Church in Savannah, Tennessee. She loved quilting, painting, collecting rocks, and going square dancing.
Nellie Mae Riley Franks departed this life on September 27, 2022 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 90 years, 1 month, and 20 days.
She is survived by her daughters, Pattie Kiddy and her husband Mike and Claudia Holland and her husband Jeff; 22 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 10 great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Nellie was preceded in death by her sons, Billy Joe Franks and James Ricky Franks; daughter, Karen Joy Pevahouse; sisters, Pauline Stacy, Ruth Starnes, and Bonnie Pevahouse; brothers, Claude Riley, Willie E. Riley, and Ralph Riley; and the father of her children, Joe C. Franks.
