Nellie Virginia Brewer

Nellie Virginia Wright Brewer of Collinwood, TN was born August 20, 1942 in Cypress Inn, TN, the daughter of the late Eldred and Pearl Dickerson Wright. She was united in marriage to Louil Brewer on June 20, 1960 and he preceded her in death on August 30, 1985.



Mrs. Brewer was a garment inspector at Collinwood Manufacturing Company and was a member of the Cornerstone Church in Collinwood, TN.



Mrs. Brewer departed this life on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 69 Years, 3 Months, 23 Days.



She is survived by daughters, Deborah Dale and husband, David of Columbia, TN, Betty Jo Harper and husband, Mike of Cypress Inn, TN, Patricia Brewer of Collinwood, TN, Carol Hodum and husband, John of Collinwood, TN; grandchildren, Samuel Hodum, Kelly Sanders, Amanda Mosley, Hope Hodum, Faith Hodum; great-grandchildren, Breanna Sanders, Hannah Lee Mosley, Benjamin Sanders; sisters, Betty Adams of Collinwood, TN, Mandy Graves of Collinwood, TN; a brother, Coy Wright of Collinwood, TN; several nieces.



In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Brewer was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua Risner; brothers, Glen Wright, Roy Denver Wright, Stevie Roger Wright.



Services will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Cornerstone Church in Collinwood, Tennessee, with Gary Hodum, John Hodum, and Telford Tharp officiating. Burial will follow in the McGlamery Cemetery, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Freddy Adams, Alan Hensley, Samuel Hodum, Kenny Brewer, Daniel Graves and Curtis Adams with David Risner and Fred Berry as honorary pallbearers.
