Nellie V. Barber

Nellie V. Barber was born December 10, 1918 in McNairy County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Joseph Oscar and Laura Lee Cooksey Kennedy.She was united in marriage to F. L. Barber, who preceded her in death.Mrs. Barber was a production worker for 18 years at Garan Sportswear in Adamsville. She was a member of the West Shiloh Baptist Church in Stantonville, Tennessee, where she formerly served as a Sunday school teacher and was a member of the W. M. U.Mrs. Barber departed this life on November 8, 2007 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 88 Years, 10 Months, 29 Days. She is survived by two sons, James Ray Barber of Bryan, TX and Glendon Barber of Stantonville, TN; a brother, Bob Kennedy of Selmer, TN; 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchlid. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Barber was preceded in death by three brothers, Eldon Kennedy, Mayford Kennedy and Grady Kennedy.
