Nell Riley
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on April 29, 1923 the daughter of the late William Dayton Harrison, Sr. and Lois Hanna Harrison.
On March 21, 1942 she was united in marriage to A. D. Riley, who survives.
Mrs. Riley was an Accountant/Bookkeeper for her husband a General Building Contractor. She loved her family and enjoyed traveling with them, the family enjoyed many cruises together. She also enjoyed cooking and decorating her home. In addition to Savannah, Tennessee, Mrs. Riley had lived in Memphis, Tennessee, and Bakersfield, California. She was a charter member of Wesley Methodist Church in Bakersfield, California where she was the treasurer and had transferred her membership to Wesley's Chapel United Methodist Church in Savannah, Tennessee. In her active years she was a member of several organizations including the Elks Club.
Mrs. Riley departed this life on Thursday, July 17, 2008 at the age of 85 years, 2 months, 18 days.
In addition to her husband, A.D., she is survived by two sons: Thomas Lee Riley of Pittsboro, North Carolina, David Patrick Riley of Savannah, Tennessee; a sister: Joy Turner of Savannah, Tennessee; two grandchildren: Timothy Riley and Terry Riley; two great-grandchildren: Aubrey Riley and Emily Riley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son: Robert Allen Riley; a brother: Dayton Harrison, Jr.
